We are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our progressive team. This position is an integral part of our team and is responsible for providing superior and quality customer service.

Responsibilities of this career opportunity include:

  • Enthusiastically receiving and processing customer transactions accurately and timely including but not limited to:
    • Cash checks and accept deposits.
    • Cashier checks and money orders.
    • Settles end of day proof processing.
    • Verifies and balances assigned cash drawer daily.
    • Assists in reconciling errors.
    • Follows Bank procedures while performing duties.
    • Cross sells or refers Bank products and services.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates must possess:

  • High School diploma required.
  • 3 – 5 years previous Teller experience.

Grand River Bank is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position is an integral part of our team as they are responsible for supporting Commercial Lenders by obtaining and preparing accurate and timely information/documentation helping to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities of this career opportunity include:

  • General administrative loan assistance for Commercial Lenders.
  • Provide a high level of customer service for both external and internal Bank customers while taking ownership for solutions.
  • Manage a portion of the loan documentation process working with the commercial loan team to ensure loans are closed with accurate and appropriate documentation.
  • Order and review third party due diligence items.
  • Properly complete checklists for each loan and maintain organized credit and collateral files.
  • Preparing commercial loan documentation.
  • Loan disbursement.
  • Appropriate lien perfection.
  • Maintain and manage documentation exceptions tracking and reports.
  • Understand and support the Bank’s policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in continual improvement process.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Successful candidates must possess:

  • Secondary education preferred but not required.
  • Minimum two years Commercial Loan Assistant experience within a bank.
  • Professional demeanor and proven exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Organizational skills, and the desire to be detailed oriented.
  • The desire to be part of a team.

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Document Review Specialist to join our progressive team.  This position is an integral part of our team and is responsible for Pre and Post closing loan documentation review of new and renewal loan requests to ensure compliance with established policies, standard procedures and regulation.

Responsibilities of this career opportunity include:

  • Complete Pre-closing Commercial loan documentation, review for accuracy.
  • Complete Post-closing internal Commercial loan review.
  • Ensure correct data collection and compliance with approval at time of origination.
  • Exception tracking and reporting.
  • Diminish risks to the Bank by ensuring regulatory and policy compliant documentation.
  • Understand and support the Bank’s policies and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with management to create and update procedures to improve consistency and reduce risk.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service/working relationship with customers, staff and all business points of contact.
  • Proactively provide back-up support for preparation of loan documentation, due diligence, file maintenance, and portfolio tasks to support production.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Successful candidates must possess:

  • High School diploma required, college degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in loan review, commercial loan processing or similar position.
  • Ability to work independently, detailed, self-motivated and have strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving/decision making ability and adaptable to new ideas/processes.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and team success.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, funding, and related risk management.
  • FISERV core systems experience a plus.
